MOBILE TESTING

1) What are the types of Mobile applications

Explain types of mobile applications;  (Native, hybrid and web - with one/two examples)

2) How do you test 3rd party systems? What do you do when you find bug in 3rd party systems?

The bugs from 3rd party integrations are not the responsibility of consumer. Report to the 3rd party team group, either through email, chat groups as per the project team alignment.

3) Your experience about Traffic sniffers

Interest to understand: how do you track issues using tools like Fidler, proxy, logs, etc.

customer is angry due to critical issue identified in production. What do you do?

Interest is to understand, when you miss a bug in testing enviornment, how smoothly you handle without effecting customer satisfaction.  Eg: you missed, working on why it is missed, with 5 why analysis, or any other analysis techniques….helps to identify root cause of the issue and preventing in future such issues, what measures taken?

ow do you know whether an issue is at UI or API side?

6) How do you confirm test coverage using test management tool. 

Requirement traceability you need confirm with proper usage of tools. Eg: JIRA and Test case management tools (Test raile, Zephar, etc)

hat if customer is not agreeing to the test estimations you have provide?

Expectation is how do you come up with estimates;  what techniques are you aware of? Eg wbs, t-shirt sizing, story point, 3 point estimation. 
With these point you convince customer.

how do you identify regression scope?  

 impacted areas scoping regression, how if automation is available - how you take the automation reports pass rate, failed automation areas, etc….as inputs to regression scope.

when do you use checklist and when test cases?

eg usually smoke testing type uses checklist;
